B2B CEOs Cautious About, But Warming To, Social Media Marketing

According to B2B Magazine business-to-business (b2b) marketers are increasingly using social media, with the newly ad-friendly LinkedIn ahead by a length.

When asked which social media platforms they used, most favored Linkedin. Only a tiny minority currently uses Google's latest attempt at getting in the social media game:

  • LinkedIn (30%)
  • Facebook (20%)
  • blogging (19%)
  • Twitter (16%)
  • YouTube (8%)
  • Google+ (1%)

The obstacles to adopting social media?

  1. Lack of resources was cited by 70% of respondents.
  2. Poorly defined success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), by 57%
  3. Lack of knowledge about social media by 44%.
  4. Management resistance was cited by 22%.
