B2B CEOs Cautious About, But Warming To, Social Media Marketing
According to B2B Magazine business-to-business (b2b) marketers are increasingly using social media, with the newly ad-friendly LinkedIn ahead by a length.
When asked which social media platforms they used, most favored Linkedin. Only a tiny minority currently uses Google's latest attempt at getting in the social media game:
- LinkedIn (30%)
- Facebook (20%)
- blogging (19%)
- Twitter (16%)
- YouTube (8%)
- Google+ (1%)
The obstacles to adopting social media?
- Lack of resources was cited by 70% of respondents.
- Poorly defined success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), by 57%
- Lack of knowledge about social media by 44%.
- Management resistance was cited by 22%.
